Old Sarum, Salisbury, Boscombe Down & Amesbury – Sunday 19th September 2021

Hi all,

Having previously reported a small trip to South Wales and how I narrowly missed out on Swansea based Cessna 208 G-SYLV, I was determined to catch up with it. This machine was by now temporarily based at Old Sarum as cover for whatever is normally used there for para-dropping duties.

Also at the excellent Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, I needed Jaguar GR.1 XX734 and so with two good reasons to go, the wife & Jet were loaded into the car and off we set……

It was a lovely weather day and so a spot of sight-seeing was carried out in the beautiful city of Salisbury. We passed the replica Spitfire on the way in from Old Sarum.

A quick stop at Boscombe Down to see if required AV-8B 162737 could be seen in the JARTS area. I didn’t see that but did find the following. I believe ZA560 hasn’t been reported here before?…..the request is for confirmation of the Hawk and Lynx please.
