Jandakot & Fremantle Harbour Heliport – Tuesday 28th January 2020 (Mark Paulin)

Evening all,

Another hot and dry day here in WA with the temperatures nudging 40c. I went for an early morning Swim at 7am and from there to a local cafe for breakfast.

I then headed to Jandakot as I haven’t been over for a few days.

Noted 1015 – 1200 were the following new ones.

VH-OWQ PC12 RFDS*

VH-OWZ PC12 RFDS

VH-YKG PC12*

VH-ZKA C208B*

VH-JAF C303

VH-EGU AS350*

VH-ELR AS350*

VH-NBY R44*

VH-PLI H369*

VH-TDA R22B*

On the way back I thought I would try and find the Heliport within Fremantle Harbour. There are 2 AS350s based here that are used to scour the coast for Sharks and to warn beachgoers of their presence.

I found the Heliport quite easily. Just follow the signs for Rous Head and the Lighthouse and the road skirts around the docks. The Helipad is about 500 metres short of the lighthouse on the left.

Just the one was present at 1245. The other based is VH-ELR which I noted at Jandakot this morning.

VH-HVT AS350*

Tomorrow is going to be cloudy and much cooler so in the absence of anything due at Perth I need I will make another trip over to RAAF Pearce.
