Our main target for the day was for one of the few glider meetings that I have attended.
As the competition grid was at the far East of the airfield, we parked the car along the Sibbertoft Road and easily viewed the preparations. We were told by one of the organisers that the take off would be slightly delayed, so we went to the clubhouse and obtained permission to look around the hangars, before going back to the grid and
enjoyed the remaining time as most of the gliders departed.
