Hamburg (Airbus) 2020 tours added (Grant Robinson)

Tour Advert for Hamburg (Airbus) – January, March, May, July, September & November 2020

More trips next year to see many new Airbus. Check out the past trip logs on this site on the “Past Tours” page of this website, to see if joining this trip might interest you…..

Following on this years six very successful visits to Hamburg, we will be going another six times next year – January, March, May, July, September & November.

Having arrived early on Monday morning, we have a quick look at Hamburg/Helmut Schmidt taking in the serving airliners that visit this busy regional airport. Great for Eurowings! Sometimes we use Bremen Airport instead and miss out Hamburg/Helmut Schmidt due to cost and time reasons

Hired transport will enable us to get around the airfield and identify those business jets that can’t be identified from the terminal area. Once happy with what we’ve seen at the airport, we then drive to Hamburg/Finkenwerder, where many factory fresh Airbus products will be seen.

From outside Finkenwerder airfield, we will check out all the known spotting points that give you views into the Storage, Flightline and Delivery Centre areas. You will see lots of A320s and A321s as these are the most numerous types being produced here currently. There may also be some A319s and A380s. Over 40 factory fresh aircraft were noted outside during each of our many 2017, 2018 & 2019 visits.

It is also possible to get inside the airfield and visit the Airbus factory but only with enough notice. The public tours are available to anyone and get booked up quite quickly and are well worth the extra money (£25) needed to get on these – we can advise how this can be done but we do not guarantee you will get on one. Around another 30 brand new Airbus would be seen by going on this tour again if our many 2017, 2018 & 2019 visits are to go by. Photographs are not allowed on the Airbus tour!

Land only (not including your flights) tour cost is £30 which covers ground transport and fuel for an outside look at the two Hamburg airfields, Helmut Schmidt and Finkenwerder. Ryanair or EasyJet is our usual choice to get here or you can book whatever flight is convenient for you and meet us at Hamburg Airport. Bremen Airport as mentioned above is a decent alternative too.

For your interest, all of these Hamburg day trips will be followed up the next day with a visit to Toulouse to see more new Airbus & ATR. Get in touch if interested…….
