TOUR ADVERT

Alaska, Vancouver & Seattle – Saturday 1st to Monday 17th August 2026

Join us for two weeks spotting in North America where this mega tour will take in three air shows and an extensive road trip from Fairbanks to Seattle. As usual, we will take in as many airports, general aviation airfields, military bases (from outside), museums and wrecks & relics as possible.

The first weekend will see us take in the Arctic Lightning Airshow at Eielson AFB. The second weekend will see us take in both the Arctic Thunder Airshow at Elmendorf AFB and Abbotsford International Airshow. This will give several opportunities to see a nice selection of Royal Canadian Air Force assets, but also United States assets as they celebrate their 250th anniversary in style.

After the first airshow, we will spend week one taking in Fairbanks & Anchorage. Around these cities we will visit the following museum collections – Pioneer Air Museum at Fairbanks, Museum of Alaska Transportation at Wasilla & Alaska Aviation Museum at Anchorage/Ted Stevens. At the end of the first week, we will fly from Anchorage to Vancouver where we will start with the air show being held at Abbotsford. The second week on the road will see us take in locations around Vancouver, Whidbey Island and finishing off in Seattle. We will visit the following museums – BC Farm Museum at Fort Langley, British Columbia Aviation Museum at Victoria, Canadian Museum of Flight at Langley, Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum at Everett/Paine Field/Snohomish County, Future of Flight at Everett/Paine Field/Snohomish County, Heritage Flight Museum at Skagit, Museum of Flight at King County/Boeing Field & Museum of History & Industry at Seattle. Also setting aside some to time to visit Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre so that you have the opportunity for a pleasure flight from there, if you choose.

Most nights we will be overnighting in striking range of either Fairbanks, Anchorage/Ted Stevens, Vancouver and Seattle-Tacoma airports. If that wasn’t enough for you, we finish up this mega trip by going around all three of the Boeing production sites around Seattle, namely Everett/Paine Field/Snohomish County Airport, Renton/Clayton Scott Field where plenty of newly built 737MAX, 777, 787, KC-46 & P-8 should be seen.
