The following logged today. The day started clear blue and warm but by the time I got to Geneva at 1545 it was overcast although much warmer than earlier in the week.

I then made the 30 minute drive to Birrfeld. A busy airfield with about 70 light. Of interest to me were:

Then it was back on the Motorway and after an hour I arrived at Grenchen. Since my last visit the number of Aerobatic Aircraft on dispaly on the roundabouts and at the field have grown. Again with the good weather an active airfield with at least 70 present. Also the first time I have ever seen a biz jet here, in fact there were 3!

From here I made the 1 hour drive to Les Eplatures / Chaux de Fonds. The drive here is through some spectacular valleys and authentic Swiss Alpine Villages.
Only 3 aircraft visible on the field with all hangers locked.

From here it was a drive through the Mountains and around the Lake to Lausanne. Noted here at a very quiet airfield

Continuing on around Lac Lemain I arrived back at Geneva at 1545. I am in The Airport Ibis and have Room 330. From here I can see approach and departures and some of the Jet Aviation apron. Noted from 1545 – 2150 different from earlier in the week
