A short distance from the University of Defence and military base, we moved on to the civil airfield at Vyskov~Jihormoravsky, which was also next to the third destination of the day, the museum, Nadace Letecke Historicke Spolecnosti.
As we have found in Czechia, many airfields have a secure perimeter and locked entrance. However we were lucky yet again and we found the man with the hangars keys. He did not speak English, however we made ourselves understood and we were given full access.
We could see the museum from the airfield and he kindly contacted one of his colleagues who spoke English and we were able to ask if we could visit. This was fortunate, as the museum was closed, although the volunteers were out and about. After a bit of a chat with the volunteer leader, we were given full access and whilst it would have been gratis, we all gave the main volunteer some money for his trouble, which put a smile on his face.
